Robert Peter Williams was born without fanfare or proclamations in 1974 in Stoke-on-Trent. Little did the world know that in just 16 years the musical world would be changed by his influence. As a young boy Robbie would take an interest in singing and acting. From an early age Robbie could be found doing many local productions. It was one such production that led indirectly to his first big break. When Robbie was 16 He was in a production of Oliver playing the role of the Artful Dodger. The success and confidence that Robbie gained from this role helped inspire his mother to take the next big step for his career. The local newspaper was advertising auditions for a new Boy Band. Robbie auditioned and was accepted as a member of the new group Take That. Little could of he have known that this was a life changing event. Soon the band would perform a cover of an earlier song called “It only takes a minute “This would propel Robbie and the rest of Take That into superstardom. Take That would soon go on to have multiple number one hit songs.
