Robbie Williams is an English singer and songwriter. He has had a very successful music career and has sold over 70 million records worldwide. Williams has also received more Brit awards than any other artist. He had been active in the music industry since 1990, but he longed to establish a fan base outside of the United Kingdom. William released the single “Millennium” 1998 and that helped establish a larger fan base.
The single hit number one in the United Kingdom and in Ireland. It also reached high on the charts in several other countries. “Millennium” only reached 72 on the U.S. hot 100 chart, but it did helped Williams gain popularity in America. The single was also featured on “Now Thats What I call Music” Volume 2, which was released in 1999.
Today Williams is working on his next album, which is expected to be released sometime in 2012. Fans are anticipating the release of this album, but even if Williams never releases another album, he has had a music career that most artists can only dream of. He is one of the best-selling artists of all time and has also been named the Greatest Artists of the 1990s by the United Kingdom Hall of Fame.
